Frequently Asked Questions

Simply add as many items as you wish to your shopping cart while browsing our store. Please be aware that some items will not allow you to exceed the aforementioned number restrictions.  Once you want to proceed with the order - do so by going to the cart and clicking "checkout". Follow the instructions by providing us with delivery information and select payment method the for goods - we will ship your package within 3-7 business days. We ship on the following Monday from your order date. 


What if I have specific delivery requirements?

  • There will be an opportunity when entering your shipping details to let us know, you can also ship to friends and loved ones. 

How will I know my order is being processed?

    • A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you upon placing your order. 

How will I know when my order has shipped?

  • You will receive another e-mail when your order is shipped with an ATS tracking number. They ship in temperature controlled environments and can often ship within 2-3 days.  

Can I cancel or alter my order after it's been processed?


Shipping times:

  • All orders are packed on the following Monday after your order date and shipped on Tuesday morning.
  • Local orders can take 2-3 business days to be delivered, add an extra day per province. Sipped via ATS (temp controlled). 
  • Shipping time might vary depending on location, shipment method and other factors.
  • Please add notes to your order should there be specific shipping requirements. 

Shipping cost:

  • Orders of 12 bottles or more will have free nationwide shipping.
  • Orders placed in December 2021 between 6 and 11 bottles will enjoy a 50% discount. 
  • We offer a standard flat rate of $10 shipping within British Columbia (orders under 12 bottles). 
  • Provinces outside of BC will be subject to a flat rate of $20 (orders under 12 bottles). 
  • Orders of 5 bottles or less will be subject to the above flat rates. Purchasing multiple items at a time will make your shipping rates significantly more cost effective.
  • Full price will be displayed at checkout, please note that any applicable discounts have been incorporated into the checkout price. 

Shipping destinations:

  • We can ship to any address within Canada. On delivery, recipients are required to present two pieces of ID, one of which must be government-issued identification proving the required age of 19 or older. The second piece has to include an imprint of the name and signature and/or picture. (Please note: the name on the order and the name of the person receiving it must match!)
  • If the package is meant as a gift, you can provide us with your friends name and shipping information when filling out the shipping details. The person buying the wine does not have to be the person receiving the delivery. 
  • **If you or the intended individual are unable to provide proof of legal drinking age, the product will be returned back to us. We will recover the shipping costs to and from the destination out of your payment and refund you the remaining value. **

  • We ship through ATS, they are a professional temperature controlled shipping company that operate nationwide.

Will the shipping process have a negative effect on the wine?

  • Nope! We store the wine in optimal conditions before it makes its trip. The wine is incredibly stable but we like to ensure our wine is neatly shipped in a temperature controlled environment. We recommend storing your wines in a stable environment, try to avoid large fluxes of temperature over the year and exposure to sunlight.

You can select your preferred payment method at checkout.

  • We accept secure payments via most Credit Cards & PayPal. 

Your 100% satisfaction is important to us!

  • If a product gets damaged or was faulty upon a delivery, get in touch with us immediately! Send us a photo to help us figure out what happened, and we’ll work to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
  • Timing: we have a 30 day Refund Policy, since the day item was received.
  • To be eligible for a refund, product must be damaged to the point where the wine is compromised. 
  • For refunds, please email orders@thornandburrowwines.com with the subject 'Damaged Item' and include your order number, name, photo and the reason for the requested refund.
  • Please note that customers are responsible for shipping costs of returned items.
  • If the refund is approved, then it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to customer's credit card or original payment method shortly after.
  • We do not offer exchanges

Our 'Wine Club Exclusives - 12 pack ' purchase will be shipped in the spring of 2022. We anticipate this shipment to be sent out in late March early April. We will reach out to you to confirm your shipping address and timing. 

  • We are currently waiting for two of the included wines to be ready for consumption. We have a razor sharp and delicious pet nat that has yet to be disgorged and our 2020 Chardonnay that has only recently been bottled. 
  • This purchase will mean your details will be entered into our database of supporters who get exclusive future offerings and early access to limited releases. 
  • Our curated 12 pack offering will always include wines that are unavailable to the public. 


Does the Wine Club mean you'll automatically ship me wine? 

  • No, as we're such a small producer and our wines vary in production size we will be email any previous supporters who've purchased our limited release 12pack to ask if they're interested in our next 12pack release. 

What if I need my wine sooner? 

  • We'd be happy to ship you the currently available wines before the planned shipping date. Please make a note that you'd like to split up your shipment upon checkout. Addional shipping rates apply.
